Privacy Policy

Introduction

Welcome to ACTIVITY (the “Application”), a platform owned and managed by KAY Multimedia Solutions Private Limited.

We are committed to respecting your privacy and earning your trust. This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) outlines: (i) the types of information we collect; (ii) how we utilize that information; and (iii) the measures we take to protect it.

Information You Provide to Us

(a) Personal and Demographic Information

When you access the Application through platforms such as Facebook, Gmail, your mobile number or Apple (for iOS users), you provide certain types of information, including:

  1. Personal Information: This refers to data that can personally identify you, such as your name and email address (“Personal Information”).
  2. Demographic Information: This includes details like your gender, age or other similar data that you may choose to share publicly on platforms like Facebook or Gmail (“Demographic Information”). If we link your Demographic Information to your Personal Information, it will be treated as Personal Information.
  3. Fitness Information: On Android devices, we access Google Fitness data only with your explicit permission. The permissions used include fitness activity read, location read and fitness activity write scopes.
  4. Leaderboard Data Collection and Sharing: When you choose to participate in challenges or join teams within our app, certain personal data related to your performance and activity may be collected and displayed on a leaderboard visible only to other participants of the respective challenge or team.
    This information may include:
    • Your username
    • Your profile picture
    • Your challenge score

(b) Information We Collect as You Use the Application

In addition to the Personal Information you provide, we and third-party service providers may automatically collect certain information when you interact with the Application (“Usage Information”). This includes details like your device type, app usage patterns, activities recorded, miles completed, charities supported and areas visited within the app. We may also collect your IP address or Device Identifier, which uniquely identifies the device used to access the app. If Usage Information or Device Identifiers are linked to your Personal Information, they are treated as Personal Information.

Methods of Collecting Usage Information:

  1. Cookies: Data files stored on your device to remember preferences or track visits. Disabling them may limit app functionality.
  2. Embedded Scripts: Code that tracks your interactions within the app, active only during your session.

Health and Fitness Data:

You can integrate the app with Apple Health, Google Fit or Fitbit to track steps and distances. Granting access allows the app to import or export relevant data (e.g., daily steps). Without access, some features may be unavailable. We ensure this data is never shared with third parties without your consent and is securely stored on AWS servers.

Payments:

Payments are processed securely via Razorpay. We collect necessary details, such as name, email, payment method and billing address, to facilitate transactions and prevent fraud. Refunds or cancellations are not available and Razorpay’s privacy policy applies. Information may be shared with third parties or law enforcement when required, but we prioritize the secure handling of your data.

Analytics:

We use tools like Amplitude, Clever Tap and Google Analytics to analyse app usage and improve features. Basic account information may be shared with these services. Your ability to limit data collection may restrict access to certain app features.

(c) Information from Third Parties

We may occasionally supplement the information we collect about you with data from third party sources. This helps us better serve you, personalize content and offer products or services we believe may interest you.

Any information received from third parties may be combined with the data we collect through the Application. If this information includes Personal Information, it will be treated in accordance with this Privacy Policy unless stated otherwise.

(d) Information You Provide About a Third Party

If you use the Application to send electronic communications, such as inviting a friend to join, the information you provide (e.g., names and email addresses) is used solely to send the invitation. This information will not be used for marketing purposes unless we obtain the recipient's consent or explicitly state otherwise.

Please note that when using the "send-to-a-friend" feature, your name and email address may be included in the message sent to your friend.

You can request account deletion via the Help Center in the app. Once approved, it may take up to 90 days to permanently delete your data, including backups. Deleted data, such as personal information and leaderboard records, cannot be reinstated. Note that content shared with others may remain visible even after account deletion.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we discover such data, it will be deleted. Parents can contact us at [email protected] for assistance.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your data, including physical, electronic and managerial measures. Access is restricted to authorized personnel and employees adhere to strict policies. While we strive to protect your data, no system is 100% secure, so you use the app at your own risk.

11. Terms of Subscription (Pro Membership)

ACTIVITY Pro offers premium benefits, such as 2x activity, a Pro changemaker profile and an ad-free experience. The trial lasts 14 days and does not auto-renew. Subscriptions can be cancelled anytime, with benefits continuing until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided.

12. Privacy Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. We will not use your data in ways materially different from what was disclosed when collected without your consent.
